Violent Crime Defense in Kissimmee and Osceola County

A violent-crime charge often comes out of a single chaotic moment: a fight, an argument at home, a confrontation that escalated. The charge can be filed before anyone has looked closely at who started it, what the witnesses actually saw, or whether the force used was legally justified. That's where the defense begins.

Charges We Defend

• Assault and battery: Assault & Battery, Aggravated Assault & Battery, Battery on LEO & Resisting

• Domestic cases: Domestic Violence, Domestic Battery by Strangulation, Injunction Defense, Stalking & Cyberstalking

• Robbery and related charges: Robbery, Home Invasion Robbery, Carjacking, Burglary

• Homicide: Murder, Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide, DUI Manslaughter & Injury

• Other serious charges: Kidnapping & False Imprisonment, Child Abuse & Neglect, Arson, Crimes with Firearms

Self-Defense

Florida law allows reasonable force, and in some situations deadly force, to defend yourself or others. A Stand Your Ground claim can be raised before trial at an immunity hearing. Whether it applies depends closely on the facts, which makes early investigation essential.

Penalties and Enhancements

Violent felonies can carry lengthy maximum sentences, and some trigger mandatory minimums. For example, the 10-20-Life firearm law applies only to specific listed offenses and requires particular findings. Penalties are covered in detail on each charge's page, on Crimes with Firearms, and in our Sentencing overview.

How These Cases Are Defended

Witness accounts, 911 recordings, body-camera video, injury documentation, and forensic evidence all get tested. Charges are frequently overfiled at arrest, and the defense often begins by showing what the evidence actually supports.
